The challenge
TenneT Offshore GmbH operates a portfolio of grid cables linking offshore wind farms in the North Sea to the onshore extra-high voltage grid. Its cable condition data, including a large historical database, needed to be analysed consistently and shared with many stakeholders.
The approach
Wirescan Digital covers the whole TenneT Offshore GmbH grid cable portfolio. Cables are tested regularly when de-energised, and the data is analysed automatically, with comparison, trending and ageing evaluation.
Results and data are available online to multiple stakeholders in a map-based view.
